On 28 October 1866 in the Imperial Chapel of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Alexander wed the Princess of Denmark.
blue velvet with oval insert of brown ribbed silk hand-painted in color, crown and combined monogram of Alexander III and wife Maria, dated 1866-1891, and date of Oct 28th.
Presented to Imperial couple on 25th anniversary of their wedding by citizens of city Nicholaev, from Anitchkov Palace, St. Petersburg (label of Russian Imperial Exhibit inscribed: "portfolio, blue velvet, insert of brown ribbed silk, monogram of Alex III and wife, year "1866-1891".
