This is not a transfer, it is hand painted by quite famous Russian artist Basilii Zverev 2 last photos.
It might be a unique plate from a private factory, no marks.
The image is of main personage from Gogol’s most famous poem “Dead Souls” Chichikov painted and signed on the back of the plate by Zverev.
The poem was printed first time in 1842.
I guarantee the painting is pre 1917.
No cracks, chips, hairlines.
