Extremely rare museum important set of 2 silver enamel engraved pieces made by His Majesty Court Supplier Khlebnikov (successful rival of Fabergé) in Moscow in 1893.
The Bowl (Bratina)is 2.5" h. x 4 1/4" at widest points x 5" base (plate) diameter.
The Bratina has engraving that reads: “Bratina of Countess Ekaterina Pavlovna Sheremeteva”.
Ekaterina Pavlovna Sheremeteva was a wife of Count Serge Dmitrievich Sheremetev (1844-1918) a decent from an old and powerful clan of Russian Noblemen Sheremetev from 18th century.
Later the clan became one of the most reaches clans in Russia.
Ekaterina Pavlovna Viazemskaia was a granddaughter of famous poet friend of Puskin Peter Andreevich Biazemsky (1792 - 1878) and also from an old and powerful clan of Russian Dukes from 1116.
There is no damage to enamel or silver; just some photos have excessive light reflection.
The whole set weights 0.88 Lbs or 400 gr, or 14.11 ounce.
The base has engraved year 1910 in the middle. Probably the year was important to the Countess.
No damages. Everything is visible on photos.
