Born in Loppi, Finland, August Fredrik Hollming became a registered goldsmith in St. Petersburg in 1876.
He first opened a workshop at 35 Kazanskaya Street and in 1900 moved into the Fabergé shop at 24 Bolshaya Morskaya Street.
There he specialized in gold and enameled jewelry, miniature egg pendants, and boxes.
