Couldn't find much about Lord Posonby ,only the book he wrote - Ponsonby, Sir F.E.G. "Short History of the Grenadier Guards" Colchester: Benham and Co. Ltd., 1917.

The case made by Faberge unknown maker in St Petersburg.
The info about unknown Faberge maker maker, last photo, is from a book "Faberge Court Jeweler to the Tsars" by G. von Habsburg and A. von Solodkoff who are the leading experts about K. Faberg�.
Excellent condition, close tight, rose cut diamonds, sapphire inserted in thumb piece.
