The case was a present from Nicholas II to Lord Posonby. Couldn't find much about Lord Posonby ,only the book he wrote - Ponsonby, Sir F.E.G. "Short History of the Grenadier Guards" Colchester: Benham and Co. Ltd., 1917.

The info about unknown Faberge maker maker, last photo, is from a book "Faberge Court Jeweler to the Tsars" by G. von Habsburg and A. von Solodkoff who are the leading experts about K. Fabergé.
Excellent condition, close tight, rose cut diamonds, sapphire inserted in thumb piece.
